Diamond Jack had his hideout next to the Rattle Snake River.
No one will find him here among this wilderness. He lived with his dog Timmy and kept to himself. Timmy kept the strangers away from his hideout.
Jack was in the kitchen when he heard people walking by, talking loudly. He peered through a gap in the window. There were 4 young guys, looking like a trekking group. But, this place was not part of any walking trails. And Timmy was nowhere to be heard.
There was a knock at his door. Jack grabbed his gun and hid it in his pocket before opening the door.
‘Hi! I’m Alec. We are lost. Will you help us?’ asked the taller of the two guys. They appeared harmless. Jack nodded and moved back to let them in.
In a flash, they grabbed Jack and tied him up and then called the police.
Diamond Jack carried a handsome reward.
