Thank you for visiting my blog. I wouldn’t have reached here without your support. And this is also the first time, I completed any challenge. Yes, the feeling is incredible.
Dia was packing clothes for their holiday which would last for a month. Sameer noticed that she was packing all her jeans, her T-Shirts, filling up most of the space in the bag.
‘Dia, we will be back in a month. Why so many clothes?’ asked Sameer.
‘But, what if it rains and we cannot dry our clothes? What if there is a nip in the air and we need a shawl? But.. .’
‘Dia, if you are going to worry so much, we can stay at home and stay safe,’ he said.
‘Sorry. But, what will we do in case of an emergency?’
‘Not having the right clothes is not emergency. Take about four or five pairs of clothes and then you can mix and match. We can buy more if we need it. Lighten the load,’ he said.
Sameer packed in three shorts and a few T-shirts.
Before leaving, Dia referred to her checklist to see if all is done. Doors and windows locked. Tickets. Medicines. Keys. And ready to leave.
With Sameer beside her, she knew she would never be in need of anything. He is her life, her zindagi. She thanked the almighty and closed the door behind her.
**This has been written for the A to Z Challenge 2016. My theme is A to Z in the life of Dia and Sameer, a geek and non-geek couple. Short stories on their approach to daily life. Do you know people like them? Do share the stories with me. ***
The characters Dia and Sameer are fully imaginary. Any likeness to people is purely coincidental. The views are the characters’ own and light-hearted. They are not endorsements.
